Exhibitions
A non-commercial exhibition or other curator-led project professionally curated at a mid- to large-scale non-profit exhibition space.

Three years of programming
Curators or artistic directors of smaller organizations may apply for support for multiple exhibitions taking place over a three-year period.

Curatorial research
Projects at the research stage often involve travel, convenings, and collaborative investigations around critical issues leading up to an exhibition.

Touring exhibitions
Curators or artistic directors can apply to bring an exhibition originating elsewhere to the distinct context of their own institution and community.

As part of the grants process we also offer a Climate Action Premium to help curators and visual art organizations assess and lower their carbon footprint. Only if and when you receive a Teiger Foundation grant do you need to submit a brief Climate Action Plan. Sample plans will be available to grantees.

At the moment, we do not fund projects unaffiliated with an established non-profit exhibition space, projects proposed by individual artists, endowments or capital campaigns, or projects that do not involve contemporary art.

Check back later this spring for more details on our 2022 grantees as well as the launch of our first-ever Open Call for Applications.
